About Katya: The Designer and Calligrapher

My name is Katya Carvalho, and I am the designer and calligrapher behind Anelo Calligraphy.

I never wanted to be an entrepreneur and never wanted art and illustration to be the driving force in my life and yet, here I am. My hobbies of hand-lettering, calligraphy and line illustration turned into a business almost entirely by accident - through the spread of word-of-mouth, little projects I had taken on for family and friends resulted in orders from strangers, new opportunities and the start of a business.

But it’s not just about designing, drawing and lettering for me. I’m a problem solver and helper by nature, detail oriented and I love to learn. I understand that life can get crazy and stressful - and my clients know that they can trust me to bring their visions to life.
