Our custom design services are tailored to bring your unique vision to life and turn your ideas into reality. Below, we give you a glimpse into our process and how we work collaboratively with our clients to create our bespoke designs.
I / Proposal + Getting Started
Our custom process begins with a detailed quote, specifically designed for you. Line items are itemized so you can add or remove details, upgrades or embellishments to suit your budget.
Upon reaching an agreement, we then present you with our invoice and contract. To commence, we request a non-refundable 50% deposit. The remaining balance is due upon the completion of your bespoke order. Understanding that our designs may evolve throughout the process, we may introduce refinements along the way, adding or removing elements to the design. Rest assured, the final invoice will be adjusted to reflect these changes.
2 / Form 1 - Information + Inspiration
At this stage, we send you our first form. This information-gathering stage provides us with the information needed to get started on your custom designs.
3 / Form 2 - Initial Sketch + Proposal
Once we have gathered the information necessary to understand the tone and feel of your event, we present a proposal form which includes an inspiration board made up of 4-5 photos that capture the essence and vibe what we will use as a baseline for our design, which is paired with a colour palette.
Working with the inspiration board in mind, we will provide a simple hand-drawn sketch, outlining our vision and concept for the design.
We provide three rounds of sketches, in the event that our initial proposal does not perfectly reflect your vision. These sketches are imperative to ensuring that we are aligned when starting the design process.
At this stage, we also propose wording and copy that fits with the overall theme of the design.
If your design includes custom invitations, we also provide an address spreadsheet with the necessary formatting for printing envelopes. This way, you can start collecting the your guesr addresses throughout the design process.
4 / Form 3 - Initial Mockup and Design, Printing Proof
Once our sketch and proposal is approved, we bring the concept to life and provide you with a realistic mockup of the design.
Each item (envelope, main card, details card, etc.) is then individually presented to you for your analysis and feedback.
When applicable, we will also present alternative layouts, colours, etc. so that you are able to choose what best suits you.
Budget-permitting, we may also present upgrades and add-ons throughout the design process. This will always be accompanied by pricing changes, so that you can decide if you are interested in the changes..
We provide 3 rounds of revisions to refine and finalize the design.
We will send you a final printing proof form to confirm the finalized design.
5 / Production
Once your printing proof is submitted, the design is sent to our printing partners, who take the utmost care to bring the invitations to life.
If you chose to have your invitations assembled, we take special care to assemble and seal your invitations. For clients who have chosen to assemble themselves, a short guided video will be forwarded with tips and tricks to get the best results.
Once production is complete, and after some quick photographs of your order, we will advise that the order is ready to ship or pickup!
Note - we do not include postage in our rates but if you are interested in having your invitations pre-stamped, we are happy to take care of that for you!
